Brofer heads to school soon

Jennifer Brofer writes: I just found out this morning that I have been accepted to UT Austin’s College of Communication, starting in the fall. I will be majoring in Television/Radio/Film. I believe my Marine Corps experiences have prepared me to finally tackle college. Very excited to begin the next chapter!

MOAA seeks Director for Print and Digital Media

The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is the nation’s largest and most influential association of over 377,000 current, former, and retired military officers and their families. MOAA is dedicated to maintaining a strong national defense and to preserving the earned entitlements of members of the uniformed services and their families and survivors.  

The Director for Print and Digital Media manages the association’s print and digital publishing programs for member communications. The director serves as publisher and editor-in-chief of Military Officermagazine, running all aspects of its operations to include editorial policy, communications objectives, content, design, production, distribution, budget, and advertising sales. The director also producesthe association’s series of print and digital member-service booklets and flyers.

Ault: Vietnam Life member passes

He served in Vietnam as a combat correspondent with the 1st Marine Division and was involved in numerous major operations, including the liberation of Hue City during the 1968 Tet Offensive. His military honors include the Purple Heart and Navy Commendation Medal with combat V. He received an honorable discharge with the rank of sergeant.
