When nominations for the 2018-19 USMCCCA national slate closed at midnight May 15, a trio of fresh faces emerged unopposed for vacant board positions.

Jason Huffine, Melanie Snarr and Paul Mancuso stepped up,” said nominating chair Mike Frank,

“This gives the Association a good mix and some fresh blood during this season of change,” he said.  “Among other strengths they bring to the table, all three could be ‘posters’ for the 4500 merger. They have proven themselves comfortable and effective with camera and pen alike – and they advocate for getting he most out of all the Corps’ communication tools.

“Sounds like good timing to me,” Mike said.

“Nominations will officially open at the close of the national business meeting in New Bern, ” he stressed, “so I’m hoping that our recent bump in membership and our strengthening ties with both Headquarters Marine Corps and Marine Corps Recruiting Command will result in more of our members seriously considering service at the national leadership level.”

Per the Association bylaws, the five board of director positions ensure continuity through staggered term limits.  Incumbents Frank, Dale Dye and Bob Mergle will leaving the board with Staci Reidinger and Riccoh Player now serving as its senior members come August.
