Renaldo R. Keene, 73, of Stafford County, passed away on February 7, 2020 with his family by his side at Genesis Healthcare-Woodmont facility, Fredericksburg.

Renaldo was born July 22, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa to Allen Richard Keene and Lucy Cruz.

He graduated in 1965 from East High School in Sioux City and joined the Marine Corps. Renaldo spent 35 months in Vietnam and retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Gunnery Sergeant in 1990. He wrote for Leatherneck Magazine until he retired.

Renaldo enjoyed reading, fishing, watching westerns, writing music reviews, and smoking cigars and his pipe.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn; sons Benjamin and Billy; daughter Amanda; and grandchildren Arielle, Ashley, and Emily.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Richard Keene; mother Lucy Keene; and oldest son Brandon M. Keene.

A service will be held at noon on Thursday, February 20 at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Quantico National Cemetery.
