Gallery seeks combat photos for show

Published by kvstark on

The Valley Photo Center in Springfield MA, www.valleyphotocenter.com, is going to do a show featuring some of the Vietnam era photography by John Olson, a former US Army and Life Magazine photographer (he has two purple hearts from injuries sustained while doing his photography.)

Since our not for profit 501c3 gallery is large we need to invite another or other photographers to display their work to fill out the show. We would also like to feature some contemporary combat photography.

Any CCs interested in having their work displayed in this show on display during November, 2014 coinciding with Veterans Day and of course the Marine Corps Birthday should contact: D. John McCarthy, Director, Valley Photo Center, Tower Square, Mezzanine Level, 1500 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01115. Phone: 413-455-5658 | Email: djohnmccarthy@me.com

Gallery photographs can be sold, but as a non profit we only ask for a 30% donation commission that is fully tax deductible for the photographer.

Our shows are free and open to the public and our mission is to share information about the art and science of photography and to educate the general public to bring about a greater appreciation for the art of photography. We have started to hang shows that have a dual appeal of good photography and subject matter that would be interesting to the general public.
