Dedicated Member Campaign at Halfway Point

Published by kvstark on

The 2015 Dedicated Member campaign is at its half-way point and, as of this writing, 33 members have shown their support by contributing just over $4,000.  These members are shown in the lower left column of this page and, hopefully space will continue increase as the campaign winds down in late July.  Their names will also be included in the USMCCCA Journal later this year.

The Dedicated Member campaign was the brain child of former Executive Director Don Gee who reasoned that not everyone would be capable of contributing at the Booster Club level yet wanted to be included as supporters of this organization.  He was right and the DM totals continue to increase each year.

“There is no question that we ask an awful lot of our members,” Foundation President Bill Hauptfleisch said recently.  “When you consider what this organization has been able to accomplish over the past 74 years you quickly come to the realization that we could not have lasted that long without the outright support of our membership.  Today we are able to make cash grants to each first place winner in the annual VIEC/DPA competition thanks to the largesse of our member/sponsors.  We also have dedicated $6,000 to our two annual scholarships.

“Without the continued help of the Florida Chapter’s Foundation Golf Tournament, the Dedicated Member and Booster Club campaigns and our Journal advertisers, we simply could not do what we do,” Hauptfleisch said.
