Cy O’Brien Turns 92 – Oldest CC

Cy O'Brien turns 92 on Jan. 30.

Venerable Cy O’Brien, thought to be our oldest living CC, turns 92 on Sunday, January 30.   We have been informed by his daughters as well as his friend, Ellie Bertrand, that he had recurring surgery January 24 to remove the lining from a lung due to fluid accumulation.  He is also having problems with his kidney and his liver.  

Knowing Cy, he would – in booming voice –  tell us all to get on with it.    We will, but we hope all CCs will join us in a prayer and a wish for a speedy recovery for this Iwo Jima veteran who has regaled us with how another war was covered many years ago.
