Suzi and John Boring

George Chrisman sent us sad news today. Suzi Boring, 65, passed peacefully into heaven July 14, with her husband, John, by her side after a two-year fight against ovarian cancer.
Born in Portsmouth, Va., to Mylo Jay (deceased) and Dolores VanOrman, Suzi spent her childhood in Cadillac, Mich. She was an accomplished downhill skier, excelled in school academics, played the flute and twirled the baton for school band marches.
She attended Central Michigan University before moving permanently to Arizona in 1968. A brief marriage ended in divorce. Suzi worked for many of the hallmark banks of Arizona as a secretary and administrative assistant.
In 1970 she went to work for Arizona Title Insurance and Trust Company, where she met her future husband, John Boring. Together, they enjoyed many years of travel, excitement and fun. Suzi became a sharp tennis player until a snowmobile accident left her with back injuries.
Her zest for living was infectious and few could resist her smile and beauty. She loved others with all of her heart, holding back nothing. Her mission in life was to help others as her many friends will testify.
She leaves behind her husband, John, mother, Dolores, brother, Max (Colleen), step-children Mike Boring (Mari) and Vicky Stevenson (Brad), and grandchildren Paul Boring, Sarah Boring Tefft (Wes), and Taylor Mary Houser-Boring.
Family requests donations in her name to  Hospice of the Valley , 1510 Flower Street, Phoenix, Az 85014, in lieu of flowers or cards. Memorial services Friday, July 26, 11:00 a.m., at Open Door Fellowship Church, 8301 N. 19th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85021.
