Bob Said, 80, Montrose, CO, sits in his plane, “Fringe Benefit,” which he hopes to fly to the Reno Conference in.

Bob, a Korean veteran, had a long and distinguished career in journalism after Korea, where he served in the 1st Marine Air Wing under the late LtCol. Jack Lewis and with Ralph Austin and Chuck Tyler. The three all plan to be at the conference. “I’ll fly in if I can add a long-range fuel tank and also, if the weather holds. I learned long ago not to fly in bad weather.”
